“UGADI” literally means a “New Era”. It is the most important Indian festival celebrated in Deccan region and in Maharashtra. It is known as “Gudipadava” in Maharashtra. It is celebrated in the month of Chitra as per the Telugu calendar ie March/April. This is the time when nature is also in joyful celebration mood on the arrival of new season. Ugadi day is considered as the most auspicious day to start any new thing. At EThames college, students celebrated this great festival “SAMVATSARADI” by following all rituals and customs to give the message of Ugadi..
