EThames officially said goodbye to our amazing batch of 2019 on 11.06.2022. Happy Escape 2022 was organized and coordinated by the first and second year students where our student brand ambassadors took the lead. The event was one of the most successful events in EThames and was full of incredible performances by our students like dance, song, ramp walk, and games to name a few. Several titles were given to students based on their personality & behavior throughout their time in campus. Students enjoyed every bit of the event.
The best thing about Happy Escape 2022 was that the complete event was initiated, planned, organized and executed by students which definitely gave them an opportunity to imply their managerial skills. At EThames, we believe in giving opportunities to students where they can practically learn management and also connect theory to the real world. Our students left no stones unturned in proving that they are great managers! We appreciate the organizing team for Happy Escape 2022 and we would also like to congratulate the passing out batch for the successful completion of three years with us. We wish them the best in all their future endeavours.
EThames Web Expo 2022 was organized on 31st May 2022 under the mentorship of Prof. Aditya Nellutla. This event was a unique opportunity for all college students all over the country to showcase their web designing skills. In this contest, students were asked to develop a website and demonstrate it working on their laptops. They were informed to keep the websites unique (It can be static or dynamic) and technologies used to create web pages should be from one or more HTML, CSS, and JavaScript platforms. All the participants were from Degree/Engineering background. EThames students were exempted from the competition as we hosted the event. However, they were the main contributors to promoting the event by interacting with various Degree and Engineering college students and explaining the registration process to them. The themes to build websites were Emerging Trends in Technology, Conversation of Wildlife, Impact of COVID-19 on People’s Livelihood, Digital Marketing,
Entrepreneurship, Online-Quiz, Tourism, and Methods to develop higher-order thinking skills among students. As a part of candidates’ selection, the initial process began with registration using a registration link. Secondly, Screenshots (image files) of all web pages created by the candidates were sent for selection. Finally, from the projects, only selected candidates were intimated through email. All the selected candidates were requested to be in the venue, i.e, EThames College on 31st May 2022 to demonstrate their work. Selected Candidates candidates from 20 different Degree and Engineering colleges such as Badruka College of Commerce& Arts, St. Anne’s College, Pragathi College, NIT (Jalandhar), and Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College actively participated in the event. They presented their website in five minutes on their laptops. We at EThames strongly believe that able management is the
key to success. We also believe management is no more about learning in
classrooms; it’s about learning through experience and practice. Every
year our students get the chance to learn, explore and experience this
in the lap of Himalayas. The Himalayas provide the students with the
chance to consider their time spent in the campus and the value of their
education as they get ready to take on more responsibility in life by
stepping into business world.
Every year we give our students opportunity to spend six to eight days
of time with each other while learning new things and exploring nature
in the form of excursion. In order to assess the students’ managerial
and leadership abilities, they go through several rounds of training
that involve adventure sports and practical challenges. Students go
through a variety of physical and psychological experiencing challenges,
including rock climbing, trekking, zip lining, paragliding, river
rafting, horse riding, yoga, and pranayama. To further explain, the
events span a spectrum of fundamental survival training, including
culinary competitions, firewood gathering, tent setup, and numerous
mountain jobs where teams plot and execute together, testing their
leadership abilities and team chemistry. Another phase of excursion
involves getting the students involved in community service by working
with nearby villages to find creative solutions to their everyday
issues. This is done by putting what they have learned in classroom into
action.
Before beginning their pursuit of managerial jobs, the students have the
chance to explore the Himalayas and form bonds with their peers. The
excursion also encourages participants to become more conscious of their
natural environment while learning about themselves in the process.
Overall, the excursion molds and develops the future managers to meet
problems, collaborate with others, and remain committed to the current
issue while living in the moment.
EThamites remember the time spent during excursion forever because it
teaches them the value of controlling their own selves, helps them in
exploring their strengths and flaws before they step into the corporate
world and they make the most cherishable and ever lasting memories.
EThames is the only college to encourage a vibrant space for self-discovery, clarifying and learning through each other’s thoughts /experiences. The Ubuntu is a group of 12 to 15 students engaging in a confidential and non-judgmental space to learn from each other through valuable experiences regarding business ideas, education, and personal and goals. Ubuntu’s (students) benefit by expanding their horizons through real-life experiences. Students can gain diverse perspectives from each other on specific topics which have impacted them. It will help them in discovering themselves through curiosity, vulnerability, introspection and exploration of their skills and the areas of improvement in a safe space of confidentiality and nonjudgement. Our Chairman, Mr’. Kali Prasad Gadiraju addressed the gathering and the session was well coordinated by Ms. Mercy Chrysolite on 24 May, 2022.
Ethnic Day at EThames is always the most awaited fest for students every year. In 2022, we celebrated Ethnic Day on 7th May which was indeed one of the best fests that students have witnessed. On this exuberant and colourful day, students and staff celebrate the rich culture of India by wearing ethnic outfits. Complementing the beauty of their traditional dresses, people celebrate their traditional ornaments and accessories as they adorn their outfits with. The vibrant and colourful cultural event reflects the diaspora and diversity of Indian culture and values. The day commemorates a mixture of the rich traditions and the vibrancy of India’s diversified culture and people and honours the unity in diversity of Indian culture and traditions. The day helps reconnect people with traditional and cultural roots and promote the true essence of age-old customs and traditions that have helped forged the different civilizations around the nation. At EThames, we celebrate Ethnic day in a very unique style because we make sure our students learn throughout the process. We conduct various competitions like ramp walk, debate, dance, singing and etc. Along with this, the most loved competition is food stall competition, which is introduced with the intention of igniting the spirit of entrepreneurship among our students. The event ends with students tapping their feet on the enticing tunes of the DJ. The most interesting part of the EThnic Day is, it is completely managed and conducted by our students with the guidance of faculty. Right from creating the posters for event to dealing with the vendors, every single transaction is carried out by students. This indeed helps students to go beyond classroom and learn management practically.

Man gives birth to new creations and discoveries with his intellect and he has full rights over all those creations and discoveries. But the protection of these rights is a matter of concern and from here the right to intellectual property is born. No other person can claim our intellectual creations and it is considered a crime by law. It mainly includes copyright, patent and trademark. The purpose of celebrating this day in our college is to inspire creativity and encourage imaginative ideas among our students and also to educate our students about the protection of intellectual property. Since 2000, World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated every year on 26 April to commemorate the World Intellectual Property Organization that came into force in 1970. World Intellectual Property Day 2022 encourages the enormous potential of the younger generation to discover new and better solutions for a sustainable future. This is a golden opportunity for them so that they can turn their ideas into reality and give new flight to ambitions. Through this event we have innovated new energy and expansion of creativity through the intellectual potential of the youth.

These questions dealt with professional aspects, academic aspects and relevant personal aspects which included topics like how to overcome stress, how to deal with failures and how your personal friend-circle impacts your life.
